How to: Class survey (video)

One activity I love to do is a class survey. It allows us to gather data from the class and then discuss it together. This allows us to really personalize the discussion because it changes based on how the students answer. This activity works really well when discussing preferences.

What makes class surveys so great?

  • Can be used for a variety of topics

  • Great for preference units

  • Great student engagement

    • personalized

  • Multiple formats

    • Add movement

      • Mingle (speaking practice)

      • Side to side

    • Whole class (large / rowdy groups)

    • Digitally

  • Can be little to no prep

  • Easy to replicate with multiple topics
